The second game is set on the fantasy world of Rivellon, centuries after Divinity: Original Sin. This not only lets you progress in more directions quicker but leads to complex battle tactics and role-playing opportunities. So in multiplayer modes (including a split-screen option on iPad) you can adventure separately and then rendevous at a later point. Unlike other games where your party must stay together, individuals in your group can split up and go in different directions. These are also fully playable and open up different interactions with the world and computer characters you meet. You then recruit up to three companions to adventure with. The second game extends these options with undead characters. You start by creating a character, specifying stats, race, gender, and origin story.
You head out with up to three other characters, each with backstories and personalities. Divinity: Original Sin II is a role-play adventure series.
