You can't put a shotgun or an assault rifle into the pistol holster on your leg, so why do you have to drop your pistol if you want to carry an assault rifle and a shotgun? The pistol shuoldn't be involved in that situation at all. Ranger mode is supposed to be the more 'realistic' option, but this isn't realistic at all.
There have been a couple of discussions about it here and I've also seen people complaining about it on various forums.
I'm not happy about that at all, and I know a bunch of other people that feel the same way. Of course that makes things a bit easier, so in Ranger mode they made it harder by limiting you to carrying two weapons.Īnd now they've put that weapon system into Metro 2033. In Metro Last light they got rid of the weapon categories so you could carry 3 weapons of any type. In original Metro 2033 you could carry a pistol, a submachine gun/assault rifle, and a third two-handed weapon (shotgun, pneumatic weapon, Hellsing arrow gun, etc).
